Community Event Centered Around 9/11

Join us for a community event hosted by the Tremont Fire Department, Southwest Harbor/Tremont Ambulance Service, A Climate to Thrive, Healthy Acadia, and the Tremont Sustainability Committee. This event will focus on:

Home Safety

Hands-on training on the use of fire extinguishers and fire blankets

Fire extinguisher exchange: Trade in your expired extinguisher for a new one

First aid: CPR, Naloxone administration

Community Resilience

Strategies for minimizing damage from coastal storms

Assessment and remediation of PFAS in drinking water

Plans for the new Public Safety Building

Resources for coping with personal stress

Fun Activities

Touch-a-truck event featuring fire trucks and ambulances

Tours of the Bass Harbor Fire Station
